Well I hope to not get bashed on too hard for asking this, I really like the rear fenders out there that a lot of you guys have and I was wondering if my detachable tour pack will still work with one. Either a fender over lay or a stretched rear fender.
What year of bike do you have? If pre 09, check out Top Shop or give Native a call they have a stretched overlay that retains the chrome frame hoop, stock lighting and detatchable hardware. It is suppose to accept the stock tourpak. No info on 09+.
Oh yes it can definitely can be done. I'm in the process of stretched fender and bags now. But I just can't bring myself to cut out the fender for the rear tour pack support arms. I'm working on a bracket that will support the rear of the tour pac without cutting the fender. It will not necessarily be quickly detachable but in 10 min or less I should be able to install it and the tour pac. If I can get it worked out I will be sure and post it here on the forum.

It would be kool if you could make a rack that quick detaches under the fender cover/bag fillers instead of a bracket that stays there all the time protruding thru your fender. That way you pop the bags to the side, pull a pin and put a rubber plug in the hole... Man, if I had manufacturing capability! "See a need, fill a need" is a quote from one of my sons cartoon movies... I believe those words apply to all the sponsors of this site! Invent it and share it with the rest of us...
