WIll the aftermarket rear fenders still accept the detachable tour pack?

Well I hope to not get bashed on too hard for asking this, I really like the rear fenders out there that a lot of you guys have and I was wondering if my detachable tour pack will still work with one. Either a fender over lay or a stretched rear fender.

I think it has to be a direct replacement stretched fender, the fender covers usually need additional hardware. To my knowledge of what I have read.

What year of bike do you have? If pre 09, check out Top Shop or give Native a call they have a stretched overlay that retains the chrome frame hoop, stock lighting and detatchable hardware. It is suppose to accept the stock tourpak. No info on 09+.

I think any of the fenders can be made to work with detachables. It might take some mixing and matching of parts but it is doable.

Oh yes it can definitely can be done. I'm in the process of stretched fender and bags now. But I just can't bring myself to cut out the fender for the rear tour pack support arms. I'm working on a bracket that will support the rear of the tour pac without cutting the fender. It will not necessarily be quickly detachable but in 10 min or less I should be able to install it and the tour pac. If I can get it worked out I will be sure and post it here on the forum.

Thanks guys. I think the brackets are ugly but I want to be able to use the tour pack from time to time.

You can also ask the manufacturer if they make a bracket to accept a tour pak. They would
know for sure.

It would be kool if you could make a rack that quick detaches under the fender cover/bag fillers instead of a bracket that stays there all the time protruding thru your fender. That way you pop the bags to the side, pull a pin and put a rubber plug in the hole... Man, if I had manufacturing capability! "See a need, fill a need" is a quote from one of my sons cartoon movies... I believe those words apply to all the sponsors of this site! Invent it and share it with the rest of us...
