Whinning Noise when Stopping

I installed a HHI 6 piston roter on my 2012 SG. When I press the brakes while stopping I hear a pretty loud whinning noise coming from the brake caliper. Is this normal? It seems to stop fine!

Hopefully it is just dust caught between the pads and any old ruts in the rotor. Back the bike up a little and jam the rear brakes on, do this a couple of times and it should dislodge any dirt. Depending on rotor wear, it could take some time for the new pads to wear in.

This is assuming the pistons were fully compressed when you installed the caliper, and you bled all the air out of the system properly.
