Well we played hooky from work today to go riding and it came back and bit us. I drug the hell out of my Sinister rear fender and screwed the paint up. Guess its time to try and install some CVO taillights now since I gotta paint it anyway. I guess I had the air ride a little lower than I thought. Gotta get a gauge on that thing.

Then get home and the biggest pisser is the flush mount fuel cap and gauge I ordered from Ebay for our Dyna came in. Well guess want the sorry SOB did....He put the stock cap and gauge in the flush mount box and shipped it to us. It was advertised as new un-opened. the guy has 196 feedback with 100% positive but no feedback has been left since 08. I guess he picked us to screw. Anyone ever dealt with something like this on there? :45 (2):

Here's one Trace. My dad sells on EBay, antiques mostly, with over 3000 feedback. A guy bought some kind of a small case, received it, said it was as advertised and gave positive feedback. Then changes his mind and says item was sent damaged. The buyer files a claim, EBay awards him refund. My dad receives the item back. Get this! The dude switched the case with, apparently, his old case and claimed that this is what sent. The dude has a feedback of 1! Yes, 1!

So now he has to go through the whole process as well, for $200. But the f'd up thing is that the item returned looks nothing like the pictures my dad has of the listing. The dude blatantly tried to rip off my dad. So now dude keeps the good item and maybe my dad gets his money.

Good luck, hopefully your deal turns out alright. Just wanted you to know, your not the only one.

Here is an Ebay FYI for all of you.

If you ever sell anything on Ebay, DO NOT let the buyer pay with paypal, and come pick it up. I found out that it doesnt matter if you have a video of the person picking it up, doesnt matter if you have a signature saying he picked it up, you could have his drivers license photo copied, you could have ANYTHING proving he was there and picked it up. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE....Usps, ups, or FedEx tracking proving it was delivered to his residence, you have no protection. He can claim it was never picked up or delivered and get a refund and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it!

I almost found this out the hard way when I was selling a sportster motor. I had it sold on Ebay, the buyer was from indonesia and paid with paypal, he was going to send a "shipper" to pick it up and ship it to him. I started looking into scams and my rights as a seller and found all this information. What I eventually found out was they use stolen credit cards to pay instantly with paypal, send someone to pick up the item, and then dispute it and get a refund or just let the credit card company find out it was an illegal transaction and TAKE the money back......Leaving you with no item or money! I gave him a refund, and had to REQUEST that he agreed to canceling the transaction before I could get my $75 ebay seller fees back on the item. If he would have disputed me giving the refund and not sell it to him, ebay would have kept my $75 and allowed him to give me a negative feedback.

Ebay has become a horrible thing! They have put all the power in the buyers hands and its just plain wrong! As a seller you cant even give negative feedback for deadbeat buyers. My brother sold his Ipad on eBay 4 times and every time the auction ended, the buyers would catch a better deal and not pay him. He had to dispute the sale every time with Ebay and eventually get almost $200 in Ebay final value auction fees back because of deadbeat buyers!

You as a buyer have all the power.....Dont worry!

I eBay lots of things from work, and some of these people think that if you cant see them, they can get away with anything.

I bought a set of handlebars for a Honda off e-bay once and when it came in all I had was an empty box. The seller
boxed it up with a hole in the corner. Sent him message and told him what happened and he offered to sell me another set 1/2 price. Sent him another message and told him I bought one set and that was what I should get he took it to e-bay and he had to refund the money, I would disputed if I had to. Thought that was what I would have to do. Good Luck

Well I got screwed one time on ebay being the buyer. The guy had confirmation on the item so he ended up winning, but here's the story. I saw that it was going to arrive to me on a certain day. I saw the carrier and he told me he had nothing for me that it must not have made his truck. Couple hours later I look and it says was delivered. So I waited until the next day and talked to the delivery person and they said I was right and that he didn't have anything. So I went to the post office to see what's up and they told me that they cannot track the package with just confirmation and they could not even tell what truck had scanned it the last time delivered. She pretty much said that it got scanned when it came in to get sorted and then scanned when on truck and could be in any box in the area. So as I am to understand it the confirmation just means it made it to a mailbox which might be the wrong one. So with over 700 100% feedback ebay must have thought I was lying, because I lost do to that confirmation.

my parents tried to buy a tandem recumbant bicycle on ebay once. they sent the dude 2000 dollars for this bike and never got a bike, or their money back. this was back when ebay was new. trust me, you were lucky they have new rules on there.
