Trim stretched tank shrouds

Im Mark from the Netherlands Amsterdam

Im busy with mounting the tank shrouds on my 2002 electra

Is it correct that I have to the trim the shrouds?

I draw already a line

please advise

Yes you will have to trim the shrouds and or do a custom seat.
