The ChoppedBaggers.com Bagger Build! (26", Rake, Stretch, Etc...)

Bocfus

One of THE 150!
Just bought the donor, I'll bring it home Wednesday. 2010 Ultra Classic 1800 miles with the 96" motor. Stay tuned, I will chronicle the build from start-finish.It's getting the full treatment... Rake, stretch, 26" wheel, paint, etc... I would like to keep the Tour Pack removable for my woman, although I may build a mount that uses the Backrest mounting point.

I will be building this bike buying 99% of my parts from the Supporting Vendors of www.ChoppedBaggers.com !

So far these are the Vendors involved:

Camtech Custom Baggers: www.camtechcustom.com
Drago's Bike Works: www.dragosbikeworks.com
Native Custom Baggers: www.nativecustombaggers.com
WanaRyd Wheels: www.wanaryd.com

If you want to build/have built a Custom Bagger the above Vendors can make it happen for you too!

First order of business... Identify if it is getting the chrome treatment or the black treatment. I put a poll up so you guys can vote.

It already has a ton of $ in Chrome goodies on it, but I keep thinking about a fair amount of black like Roger's bike.

Vote now!!!

Which 26" wheel do you guys think I should look at? I was thinking about something like the PJD Rapture, way too many options...

Also this bike has a set of 18" wheels that will be coming off and sold if anyone needs an entire package. Wheels, tires, rotors, 1800 miles on it all.

Damn.... WAY too many decisions to make.

I can do this about any way I want, and I always thought I had it all figured out. But now that it is D-Day, I don't have a f_____ clue what I want to do :(

I thought I was going to use Sinister Fenders but after looking at the new Yaffe stuff I don't know...

Anybody have first-hand expierience with both?

Any body seen a Chupa Fender with CVO Lights used with a regular stretched bag instead of the CVO bags? I really like the CVO lights as they are super bright but still look custom. I was riding behind a guy not to long ago with a CVO and I couldn't beleive how bright the lights were.

paul @native sells the flush mount tail lights if you wanted the same style but flush in the clear

i have the sinister fender, not much body work needed, his bags were very porous and the new sidecovers/glove box lids/speedo cover i got are about the same with the porosity.

I am pretty sure Paul can get me all the Yaffe stuff to. I don't really care for the flush lights just from a safetly standpoint. "I almost had my leg taken off May 9th 2011."

I think most of you guys have the Yaffe tank, any others I should consider?

I looked at the Fat Katz Cool-7, but it looks too big. I might think differently seeing it in person. It's also 1k more than the Yaffe tank...

Yaffe's tank is cheap but it needs so much damn work it makes it not so cheap then you have to get it pressure tested and sealed. Trask makes a tank and seat you have to call but its big money. Russ Weinmount or however you spell it has a couple tanks. MRI has a tank thats pretty cool how the gas cap is. Or just have Paul at native customs stretch your stock tank.
