I used to own some shit!
You can now help me keep the lights on by becoming a "Site Supporting Member" for a measly $10 per year.

Options include:
-More PM space
-More Pic Options
-More Signature Options
-More Avatar Options "Including Animated Avatars"

And more to come.

If you help me out great! :joyous: If you don't, enjoy the site and start posting anyway! :joyous:

To become a "Site Supporting Member" go to settings> my account> paid subsriptions> and select option #2 "Site Supporting Member." The entire process is automated through PayPal

If you do not want to use PayPal and would like to become a "Site Supporting Member" send me an email [email protected] and I'll give you the address to send a check or money order.

Thanks!!!

I just made most of the changes to the User Group "Site Supporting Member." For $10 a year you will now have many, many more options when it comes to avatars, signatures, pictures, etc...

There will definately be more advantages in the future but these are just the first few things.

I'd like to help out the new site just as much as the next guy. I just have a couple questions.

Do you plan on having a cool site where we all can come for great information, great members and a site that isnt covered in annoying adds?

I have been a member on many sites/forums ranging from Jeeps, R/C cars, Motorcycles, Work related stuff, Firearms......I have even been on the Board of directors of sites, ran a couple forums, and been moderators on a few of them. I know the system well.

Do you intend on making this a cool site, or a money making machine?

I like the idea of the new site, think its cool to have a Bagger related site, I'm just not too crazy about getting wrapped up in and hooked on another site that puts money before everything else. HDForums and V-Twin forums both are money making machines. Granted they have great resources on them, their ads and popups are just plain annoying.

I know what it costs to run these sites and it isnt much. Some of these sites become sell outs and make it all about the money. Some of the Jeep sites I was on the owners were so bad about it, they were pressuring the vendors for free stuff all the time, pressing the members for money, limiting access to for sale forums......What ever it took......These guys IMO turned the site into a full time job/money maker! I would just hate to contribute to that again.

Just for the record, I have no problem kicking in money for valuable info and access to a good group of people. I just dont want to line someones pocket.

Thanks!

I agree with everything you said 100%... It is absolutely my intention to keep this site free or near/free of ads as I too think they are rediculously annoying. You hit the nail on the head with HD Forums and V Twin Forum, you can't really focus on the excellent content for all the freakin ads.

I too have been a member on dozens of forums for about 10 years, I know what people like and I know what they don't. And I am VERY willing to change the site around to fit everyones wishes.

This IS NOT my full time job. I am a Particle Accelerator Engineer out of work for a while due to a bad motorcycle accident. I rolled out of bed one morning, looked at my girlfriend and said "We NEED a Custom Bagger forum." That was all of about 5 days ago. Since then I have spent every second I have been awake getting this site started and blew up the credit card doing it.

I built this site because I believe we "The Custom Bagger Community" needed it, that is all. I went into this knowing I may never even get my initial investment back and I was ok with that because I believed in the need for a site like this.

Oh Yeah, you will already get "Site Supporting Member" status FREE FOR LIFE for being one of the first 150 registered members. I am simply waiting until we get 150 members before I switch everyones user group. "It'll be a lot easier on me that way."

You can still give to the cause, but it would be out of the kindness of your heart.:love_heart:

If you give to the site, great.. If not, thats ok too. Either way I am glad your here and I hope you stick around for a long, long time. :tennis:

Cool, glad to hear it. I dont know if you ever visit Harley Tech Talk, its a pretty cool site for engine tech info, thats about it, but I like what they stand for......Ad free site with raw info.

I dont see anyting wrong with a good site and the owner making a few bucks, your time is worth something. I just hate the ones where they are just raking in the dough without giving back.
