I just started putting the monkey bars on my 2011 Street Glide . I have spliced in about an eight inch piece of wire to each wire in the wiring harness wires that run inside the handlebars. Now I'm trying to remove the plug at the end of the wiring harness so I can feed the wires through the bars. I used a paperclip and put it into the hole beside the pins inside the plug to release the wires but just can't seem to get the wire out of the back of the plug. How do I get the out?

like was mentioned above. take a pair of needle nose and grap the white insert that the terminals are connected to. pull it out gently one click then insert your paper clip and pull from the back gently.
