Hey folks I have a well worn S&S 124 twin cam motor that had been getting loud in the lower end for some time. After I lost complete oil pressure. I decided to remove it and get it apart. Upon tear down I found the oil pump gears in several pieces. Caused by a crank bearing failure. As seen in the photo.
I will split the cases. Break down the fly wheels and rebuild, true and balance, then tig weld them. A bore job and new pistons, lifter, valve springs etc. will all be replace. As well as powder coat the cases, cylinders, heads and diamond cut them.
I will do my best to keep this thread updated, along with photos till we have a utube video of it back in the bike running.
