Here's a custom bagger we built a year or two ago that some members wanted to see more pics of... Sugar Daddy started as a 09 FLHX that we bought as a salvage donor. We cut the frame in half, added an arched back bone and curved down tube and fabricated split tanks, cafe style seat section and a bunch of one-off goodies. If you read Baggers magazine, it was featured recently. It had a fairing back then, but now it's been converted to a RG style bike.

thanks! Once you rebuild it, you can get a rebuilt title (at least in Texas) and it's insured through progressive... not that big of a deal really. Salvage is the way to go if you are build a full custom bagger. No sense in buying a clean bike since it's all getting stripped anyways. It might hurt resale, but I still get offers on my salvage rebuilds, so it depends on the buyer....
