How difficult is it to paint the front part of the SG frame? Does the engine have to be removed? After looking at many pictures and trying to choose a color, if its not a black or a color with black accent, the bike looks much better if those front to frame bars that the crash bar mount to were either painted the color of the panels, or if you are going with a lot of chrome, frame should be chromed to match the rest of the chrome. Any ideas on this?

ditto ,tons of clearence without taking off anything except the stablilizer bar if you have one .BTW you can get down to the floor board mounts if you remove the front cylinder .

top pic is without removing much of anything

second pic is removing front cylinder .

If you are just going black ,stopping at the weld on the downtube bar near the top makes it seamless ......although because harley stock paint is so shitty you only need a half decent job to make it blend .ha
