So there I was....

Big Red is on the lift, local bike night tonight, what is a man to do...

Buy this ugly ass thing! (New 2012 FLHR)

This bike will be built and sold. hopefully I can make a couple bucks, if not it'll be fun and you guys will enjoy the build anyway!

26, stretched everything, and who knows what else... I want it to appeal to the masses so I'll probably stick with good ole' fashioned Black&Chrome.

It's gonna be fun!

By the way, I feel like I am on a moped compared to Big Red. I can't believe how uncomfortable the seating and controls are in stock form...

Gotta give a shout out to my local HD dealer. Hometown HD in Winterville, NC. They gave me a DAMN GOOD deal on this bike!

Shit, I have a bunch of stuff to figure out....

-Thinking about no exhaust cutouts in bags or fender, but I can't seem to find any mid length exhausts that I like...
-Wasn't going to, but after riding it with the stock seat I may have to do a drop seat frame...
-Camtech or Pickard tank... With that being said how am I going to deal with the FLHR tank "swap to an FLHX tank maybe???"

So much to decide on..............

Another thing... I cannot believe how much of a SLUG this thing is! You would think a stock 103" would be pretty impressive, but next to my 107" it's like a moped!

Just got off the phone with Pickard...

This is were I am so far:

-Pickard Five-0 26" wheel "undecided on dual or single disk"
-Pickard Bagger Boards
-Pickard Shifters/pass pegs
-Pickard 9* neck block and trees "trees are coming out soon"

-Most likely another set of Top Shop bags, unbeatable quality for the money.

Undecided stuff:
-Pickard tank/dash with stock frame OR Camtech Tank/Dash with Drop Seat Frame...
-14"-17" Handle bars, all internal "Pickard, HHI, or DIY..."
-Exhaust: I am all over the place here, not sure WTF I want.
-Air Cleaner???

Cool bike bro! Congrats. Should be a real cool build.

I was just in New Hope PA Sunday & there was a Red Hot Sunglo SG w a 26" & a single disk. I asked him how it stops & he said "it doesn't very well" he had a single on his 18 & on his 21 & said the bike stopped fine but when he went to a 26 it doesn't stop very well at all. He has a 13" rotor with a 6 piston caliper.
Wondering if anyone has the same opinion.

Tap it!
