Hey wassup I'm DJ from the Bay Area in Cali. This is my first Bagger making the switch from my last 3 Harley's 2 Sportsters and a Wide Glide, Last one was a Sportster Sport I custom built with a 126hp Buell motor and Baker 6 Speed that a Ford Station Wagon took out with me on it on the freeway at 80 last November lol so this is my "My Broken Back needs a smoother ride Bike"

Just got it a few weeks ago, Mostly stock 88ci 5 Speed Bagger, Had Reinhardt True Dual pipes, Hoppe Ind. Quadzilla and about every Chrome part you can find in the Harley Catalog lol oh and a set of Wild1 Chubbys Beach Bars.

Changed the Bars, Installed a Set of Wild1 Chubby's Bagger Apes I found on CL for $70 almost brand new in great shape, ran the wiring myself, then I installed Progressive Suspension Front and Rear, and most recently I Installed a new JVC Deck and JL Audio 4x400w Marine Amp.

Plan is to Slowly Strip off all the Extra Chrome and bring it back to the Stock Chrome then I'm gonna keep the 2 Tone pain but paint the Silver Satin Black with some Blue pearl flake, and have the Blue painted with a little Smoke thrown in. Pump up the Motor, 95" and Baker 6 Speed I want it to be very reliable and to last, Screaming Eagle Hydraulic Cam Chain kit with a good set of Screaming Eagle Cams, Debating on weather or not I need/want to have the Weld and Balance the Crank or just do the 95' Top End. Otherwise I just plan to ride the shit out of the bike lol oh and I'm gonna keep the stock rims because I'm tryin to go for a more Bagger Bobber look and see how it turns out. Plus I scrape the pipes and running boards with the Progressive suspension as it is now so Its probably best for me to keep it lifted up like it is, But I might look at a 21 not sure yet lol

Now for some pics,

Yeah I wasn't too worried about the paint on it, It already has some scratches and chips and I plan to have it painted soon. Thanks for the concern though man Appreciate it.

Thanks everyone, This might be either a VERY slow build as I am now on a fixed income (3 Broken bones in my lower back and cant work for at least the next 2 years fuckin sucks cause I'm only 27 -_- ) or will ALL be done within the next few months, all depends on the Insurance settlement, Lawyer thinks it might be pretty quick, but I have to see how much I'll have left after buying a house, but either way I like to tinker and I get bored easy so you should see some stuff pop up.

I used to own some shit!
I am in a similar situation right now... I had a geriatric turn into me head-on which did a number on my left leg, that was last May and I anticipate starting back to work on March 1st.

Don't rush the settlement, unless you have already maxed out what you can get out of the person and insurance company.

Glad to have you on the site and I hope you heal up well. A one legged friend of mine has said "It's wasn't a tragedy, just one of the steps I had to take to get where I am." For some reason those words have helped me out a ton.

The only reason this site exists is because I have been sitting on my ass for the last 8-9 months! That's at least one good thing that came from it!

Welcome from Ohio. Recovery takes awhile. I shredded my shoulder 2 years ago and after the surgery took 6 months off. I still workout 5 days a week to help the recovery.

Yeah not Rushing the settlement but that's all there is and that's what I'll get so no point in taking longer. I agree 100% with your friend, I find its better to focus on what you've gained than what you've lost.

I hear ya on the site, Me sitting around all day is why my bike club now has a website lol just got bored and though, Oh hey that's a good Idea lol
