Im buying a custom 98 road glide in Chicago tomorrow. It has the stock shocks on it and I want to slam the rear. It has extended fender and bags. How low can I go with being safe not scraping and bottom out?? There giving me a 2-3 inch lowering kit.

Probably not an easy question to answer without knowing the existing clearances. Once you get it home, start measuring. Congrats on the new bike.

Most of us have air ride so that there is some adjustment in the rear. Like Zach said though, we'll need to know more about your specific setup.

All I know is just on stock 13 inch shocks. I'll just have to drop it 3 inches and measure the clearance, I know I'll be good on 2 inches.

There is a great thread on here about an inexpensive DIY air ride setup. It would give you adjustability from 9.75"-13.5" or somewhere around there.
