Up in da one fiddy...
These things are a bitch to wire (but totally worth it). I found some 24 conductor, 20 awg cable with a teflon jacket at my local electronics supplier. I looked at all the circuits and it doesn't appear to be anything with large current going directly to the switches so I don't think the slightly smaller gauge wire will be an issue. You have to do all the splices by soldering and shrink wrap inside the control housing but it was better than trying to get the large bundle of wires and splices through that top corner. If I did it all again, I still don't think I could get it done in two days.

"If I did it all again, I still don't think I could get it done in two days. " Wow, I don't have apes, I have Carlini Bag Drags, the dealer wanted to charge me 8hrs, I thought he was crazy so I did it myself, only took a few hrs. I guess it helped that the bars are 1-1/2", but if it would've took me two days, I might have thought about going to the dealer, so maybe the dealer wasn't that crazy after all.

I use to run the trask performance bro bars and I know how much pain it was to install. I've must've gone through like 6 bar changes. I think this may be the final change and well worth the stress. I'm gonna time myself! J/k! Wish me luck!

808, you should've left that thing as a king. Looks good now but dammit that thing was hot!
LOL Dont say that! I've had my share of bugs between my teeth while riding and yelling "i'm on top of the world!" Besides, grass is greener on the otherside....hehehehe! I like the way you can't see the rider except for both hands on the apes and barely see the top of the head and eyes peering over the batwing....DAS FK'N GANGSTA!
