I'm not using an equalizer and not having a problem. Not sure what the problem is, buts probably something simple. Friend of mine wired mine and I'll ask him tomorrow and post.

right next too the battery where the wiring runs too the rear. Thats what im thinking it goes. Also not running the stock fronts thats why they are blinking fast

I believe you will need a set of equalizers for the front and another set for the rear to get them to blink right and to turn the alarm light off. I have seen some that say for alarm models and some for non alarm models.

my bike is non abs and no alarm, but as soon as i hit the turn signal the red key light comes on and stays on as soon as i get my raked fairing im gonna flush mount a led turn signals in front fairing

I don't need my 1 mo old biketronics load equalizer (BT-801 for '08 and up touring) now that I have the badlands thinger for my re-wired led brake/turns. Let me know... $36 shamolians
