What's up Dark! I think it's cool! Does it detach easily? I don't think it's good for everyday use to go to work then park at the mall to watch a movie and do a little shopping. You know that shit will get jacked. Strictly for weekend riding to show and bragging rights, right?

Yes both are removable lock and key. My bike is a local round town bike andI might do an out of town overnighter now and again. Thinking of pulling the trigger on the Street Glide version if the supplier can get 1 to me before Daytona 2012.

Up in da one fiddy...
I have an iPad and iPhone but I don't want Apple controlling the EFI on my bike... what's that? Well yes, now that you ask... I am a conspiracy theorist...

The white and yellow are both for RGs, but it doesn't look like the yellow one has any place for speakers. Is this a local shop in GA?

The last 2 pics are Camtech's double din stereo inner fairings not ipads.

I think it's pretty cool. How do you control the radio though? Sure the iPad. Can play music but how do you tune without a head unit

I used to own some shit!
I think I would rather have a Double Din monitor/gps/head unit combo than an Ipad in the fairing. That's just me though.

iPad defiantly has the cool factor but I agree I would rather have a double din.

One thing about my bike that I love is I have full control of my iPhone/iPod from the alpine headnunit and it doubles as a iPhone charger. It always seems that by the end of the day if I go riding after work my phone is dying and this allows me to charge it while jamming out at the same time.

I'm not a fan of the iPad look, even though I own one. It looks too out of place & awkward...JMO. I do like the double DIN with the 6x9's though.

The iPad fairing is different is why I like. The are several bikes and people that I know with Double DIN units but NO iPad fairings. It comes with a module to control the iPad from the handlebar controls and connectivity to my stereo system on the bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LbKcnzZqe4

Why are you guys still using big bulky iPods?...I currently use a 64GB jump drive for all my music!

I have the iPad fairing for my bike ordered I should have it next week. My buddy Jamie that has done all my stereo stuff is doing the install. You still have full hand controls nd charges the iPad. You can do it a couple different ways. Mine we are setting it up with my deck in my left bag with my amp which I can pull all my wires back for hand control wiring and can run gps radio pandora iTunes whatever you want and could run gps with the radio at the same time. That's how I wanted mine set up. If you run it through your deck you also don't lose any sound quality

The FBI iFairing is a badass looking setup. I am still hearing that there were some bugs, but that is pretty normal with the first production run. I can sell you both, but at the end of the day on my own bike I would prefer to have my double din's and use the Camtech fairings for that!

Another thing you need to consider is the weight. Every vehicle I have owned has had a double din installed and they arent light. and if you get that weight up above your bars, you will definitely be able to tell the difference between that, and an ipad. just alittle something to think about.

That is always a good point. I will have to weigh out the stock radio vs the ipad & double dins next time! Would be good info to know for everyone.
