Looking for ideas to remove the wrap around license plate bracket so I can show more paint on my rear fender. Picked up 1 of these so now need to figure out what to do from there. Thanks in advance.

Hes talking about the rear grab bar or bumper. Whatever you want to call it. I cut mine off flush and put caps in. Looks good

There a caps/plugs available to fill the file after you cut it off.

I used a streetglide style plate mount on my road king, looked pretty good.

I decided yesterday to just cut them and figure out what to do with it later, but I did find some chrome furniture plugs I will try out maybe tomorrow and see if that works. I see that you can buy the brackets with lights from Auto Gem, but I didn't want lights. Also found that Yaffe sells plugs that will go right in if I'm reading it right. Also, Fireman Joes sells some plugs too.

i bought the plugs you have. It was an ok fit but a little loose so I put some black silcone on it and stuck it on. Works great

Cool. The holes are about 3/4" so going to try that. Then going to sand them down, etch primer them and then paint black to match rest of the frame and then through in the chrome ends and see how they look.

Yeah I couldnt get the 3/4 plugs to fit so I went with the 5/8's and the silicone. I'v been thinking about pcoating a lot of parts just cant decide what I want.
