6.5 and tweeters, everything i have read says they are high end speakers, just never heard of them before

Audioson has some crazy ass speakers too. Here are a set of 5.25 compared to stock. These are coaxial speaker with a 1in tweeter. There is also a pic of the 6.5 on a bike

With Audison and Hertz being under the same blanket company, are they similar in performance or is the Audison a step up in grade?

DD are best known for subs and amps and are high end for sure. Mids are not their specialty, not saying they're not good.

Their subs are known for being expensive, loud, but very narrow band (one hit wonders sort of).

All the audio forums would have more feedback on their mids, but for the money their are probably better speakers as recommended here.

Audison are only high end no entry levels. Hertz offers all kind of levels and there all bad ass!
