I am trying to take the turn signal assembly off of my 11 Streetglide. The issue that I am running into is that I can not get the ground wire out of the socket. Does anyone know how to do this? I am trying to get the sockets out for powdercoat. Thanks for the help

Yes there is a pigtail. has a blue and purple wire that goes into the socket. I have those disconnected already. The issue is the black ground wire that goes to the socket housing.

pretty sure i de pinned it @ the plug side and pull the wire thru - i didn't unsolder anything. the reflector and wire was one "assembly".

unless i missing something, you wouldn't be powdercoating the reflectors? not even sure they would being flash chrome on plastic?

Thanks for the help. The ground wire comes out by placing a small screw driver in the slot on the face of the socket. The slot that i am talking about is at 3 oclock in the second picture. Thanks again for the help
