I just wanted to make a post about CCI, a very good friend of mine owns a Small Business making all American Made T-Bars for Dyna's Bagger's Softail's ect. well almost 2 years ago he came out with a set of T-Bars that bolt up to Harleys Street Bob Triple Trees well last month CCI introduced their newest Catalog and they now offer the exact same design bars which isn't really a problem but CCI Advertises them as "All New First of their Kind developed by CCI" which in my opinion is not only wrong but downright Unprofessional. I not only no longer order parts from them, But I also closed my Dealer Account with them.

That's just a very small piece of what's wrong with America!

I'm willing to bet the sell for just slightly cheaper, which is all the American public cares about, What benefits me???? Screw everyone else!

TO play devils advocate for a minute.

You have to copyright stuff if you want to keep it to yourself.

Just the way it is....been happening to guys since the dawn of the industrial age.

I used to own some shit!
On top of that the cost of litigation to enforce copyright violations usually outways the benefit. Unfortunately these days if you have a good idea someone will without a doubt try and get in on the action.

yes everything is copied and slight change to what ever it is. look at the five or 10 diff . saddle bags sidecovers cow bells floor boords you name it. its been copied one way or another. It just boils down to what the quality is . ....... did the guy that made the handdle bars put them on the market. did he have CCI carry his product. or did he just make them for poeple that wanted them. If you wanted to you could say shoppe coppied yaffe. .

His Company is a well known TBar manufacture with their own website. He sells all over the world. Never sold through CCI, He wouldnt care about copying the design, were pissed because they copied the design and then tried to say it was Theirs and They where the originals. But yeah Copywrite litigation with a Company as big as CCI would cost way to much. So we ask the Biker comunity need to play the Capitalism game the way it was intended, and choose where to spend our money. I doubt it will make a big differance but whatever. I'll spend the extra 10 bucks for American Made and Better Quality and know I'm helping keep AMERICANS (and in some cases Canadians too, gotta help out our brothers up north lol) employed.

CCI is a joke, give them another few months and they will have closed down and gone out of business for what I think will be the second time.

That sucks! I do not like what CCI did, but it finally looks like what comes around, goes around...Karma seems to be making its rounds these days. Sucks when another company steals your idea and runs with it, we know that feeling all to well!
