Ok guys. A lot of you have been following my thoughts/ideas and post. Just got back from the shop and talked everything over with owner.

- Bad Dad stretched shaved saddlebags( no hardware or latches)
-Bad Dad fender all in one touring with run, turn, brake.
-stock side covers
-stock floorboards powdercoated in black
-powdercoated AC,primary,levers,and headlight ring
-Painted windshield(not sure If I should do orange or gloss black)
- Paint matched dash with black gas cap and the FLHX area done in black
-Lindby crash bars and pegs(black)
-12'' Yaffe Ape hangers with black vinyl cables(black apes)
- Powdercoated gloss black front wheel( will move up to a 23'' later, just wanted to do something to the front to let it stand out a little for now. Might be able to do the rear aswell)
-Inferno Orange Metallic Paint job(inner fairing aswell)
-Airbrushed HD symbol on L and R side of tank in black
-POWMIA symbol on rear fender
-Possibly can get me some grips he said

Here is the color. Not sure If that camaro is the orange Im getting but It is the new Camaro orange color. Should be it.

I think Its going to look great! I cant wait. He said he can do some airbrushing designs on the dash area near gas cap etc. He will do something and have me approve it before they shoot it. I can add to etc. Also throwing in a helmet and will custom paint that aswell.

I think I did pretty good. Just need that 23'' now and a couple other things.

What do you think?

Possibly. But I need paint regardless of color. Might as well get it now and get the 23'' later. Ill have to get trees too. I dont know what 23'' I want either. The bags alone are $2200

IMO spending an extra $1500 on the bags won't make the impact that the 23" wheel would have.

How much are they charging you just for the paint?

The bags are an extra $1k. Regular bags are $850 + $230 for lids. Still a significant difference but the bags are different and I like the clean look. I have to check what the paint is costing when I call tomorrow and get a break down. They worked with me very well. Im happy with it. The 23'' rim alone would be over $1k depending on rim, plus trees, fender, rotors, tire and labor on it. When I get my disability back pay I will do the 23''. I have to find the right one too.

may be money left over. Today we just went over everything. Im calling tomorrow and having him send me a work order laying out all the parts, labor, paint, etc. Just so I can see where the money went of course. I can still make some adjustments If I have too.

Gotta agree with Webmaster on this one. The shaved latches are something to do when you've tapped out all other areas of your bike. You can color match the latches and almost do your 23, when you factor in what they'll charge for powdercoating the front wheel.

When I see a nice bike, any bike, I start from the front end and work my way back. But, hey, its your bike and cash.

Trust me I want a 23'' bad. I probably could of gone back to black and 23'' but decided to act on the insurance money and get custom color. The bags are a lot more but the cost of doing a 23'' the right way isnt cheap. I will get the 23'' soon. I dont even know what 23'' I want. And Id have to get trees/rake, etc. Im ok with a PC front for now. But I will miss a 23'' until I do get it.

Sounds great!
I'm selling my 21" in the classified section if you're interested.

Tap it!

I agree with the above. Fully shaved bags might look overkill with a stock wheel. I would personally rather buy stock bags or buy some sinister bags and lids and save the money and find a way to do the 23.

One other thing to consider, and this really helped me on my build. You can sell alot of the stock parts that you have, damaged or not.

I sold my stock brakes, fenders, seat, front wheel, etc etc etc. This stuff is worth decent money and that might just put you right where you need to be to get the bike done right the first time.

Do what Bagged64 is doing? By bag extension, molded it and repair to your stock, apply the bulk of the money to the trees and rim. You can sell the bags later to get deep bags..

I dont have my stock bags. I got rid of those months ago to get the bags I have now that were damaged. That is a good idea though. Just no stock bags.

I can't swing the whole thing at once so I've decided to to the whole front end now with back wheel and do fender , bags ect later. I like the bad fad fender and bags too. Still undecided about rear exhaust or side. Good luck with your build , looking forward to seeing the progress.

I'm at kapolei area, leeward side! Not too far from Ewa...nice brother!
Oh ok cool. We were practically neighbors. Ewa and Kapolei are like 2mins away If you take that back road near old RR Tracks.

I use to go to Kapolei all the time and run my car with others in the industrial area way out there. I had a 500awhp Evo8. If you were into fast cars back in say 06-08, you probably heard about my car,LOL.
