My bike was in a wreck and looking to repaint it and customize it.

I just want a single orange. Maybe flakes but not graphics or anything. Just one color.

I have $8,353 to play with. Only parts that will need to be heavily preped is the fairing and tank. Bags,Fenders and possibly side covers come ready to paint.

What is the cost of a single color paint for my situation? Just need fairing removed, inner fairing and tank. Everything else will come shipped from Bad Dad. My dad has had a lot of paint jobs done and said for a single color PPG he said about $1500. His painter charges $200 per part about. Of course lids are cheaper.

Just trying to get an idea. Im guessing $4500-$5000 in parts $1500 or so in paint and $1500 in labor for apes, mount rim, install all parts. Sound about right or am I way off?

Im just doing a 21'' DNA wheel,Bad dad front fender, Bad dad complete rear, and basic floorboards, and replace and powdercoat primary cover. Also have dash PC in black

Thanks guys. Also post pics of orange colors and the company and name please if you have any. I LOVE addictJ orange color. I want that one. I sent him a PM.

That tangerine twist looks good too. I like the O So Orange. Any ideas on what a single color PPG paint will cost for the whole bike?(no frame)

Like I said I hae $8400 to play with and I can easily do a paint job with that amount BUT I want to do the rear end, apes and wheels. I wont sacrifice a wheel for paint. I think any custom painted bike must have a custom wheel. Sets it off. But I have been pricing everything out and the shop can possibly get it cheaper for me. Like I said If I stay in the $4-$5k parts range I think a paint job and labor to build bike sould be good.

so with oh so orange what do yout think I should pay total using oh so orange? The tank and fairing have to be prepped. Everything else is brand new from bad dad. Maybe I can find an orange like it and match it or go with another orange that is close to it. But as far as a quality paint job what range should I be in price wise?

well the parts from bad dad will need to be mocked up and body work also. full bagger with body work id guess 2.5-3.5k for a 3 stage paint

how much can I be looking at for a basecoat clear coat? Not a 3 stg paint.

Ive been told labor and paint about $1500-$2000 for a single color job.

If iI were painting it for you using tangelo pearl, my price would range from $2000 to $2300 depending on the amount of prep work. Most shops will charge you more I have no overhead cost or anything here. If you are interested send me a pm and we will work something out to get it painted.

That is a bad ass orange.

I was just thinking too. When they quote me labor, materials etc for paint job that is all my parts being painted, removed and installed. So then when they quote me for parts the only parts I will have labor on his apes, floorboards, rims, and exhaust. Bc when they quote it in paint that is them installing it. So I should be good. So far I have just basics. Rear end complete, front fender,DNA wheel, floorboards, seat, apes. I think all those parts and paint should be good to go with $8400. Im at about $4k-$5000 in parts. Closer to $4k.

One of THE 150!
You have to consider that alot of places would charge maybe 1500-2000 to repaint a stock harley that needs absolute minimum body work. You get into new fenders, and bags and stuff then they need a good amount of cutting, trimming, filling etc to line up.

I would say a full paint job with aftermarket parts you are probably looking at 3000-4000.

That is why to keep Crazy Beavers Customs in mind I can do work cheaper due to no over head cost or extra expences of other bigger shops. As you can see I take pride in my work so with my slighly lower prices you will not sacrifice quality. I am starting a new thread for everyone to check out with pictures of a bike I just got in that was done by the highest priced painter in my area.
