It does bug me, that's why I'm checking for feedback. Monroe's are not an alternative for me. Been there, done that, won't go back. Just my experience. I know others love them.

thats what they do. I ran them for 4500 miles doing that the whole time. Seemed weird but that never failed. they kinda drop down when you let alkl the air out and the metal part drops. When you inflate again the metal "pops" against the top. kinda weird but I think they weren't really designed with total deflate in mind like we use them for.
