Air Shocks.

huy great site so far . i need a little insite here . hope some one can help . i have custom shortened my stock hd air shock, but i have not figured out why they are clunking at slower speeds. i have 5 pounds of ari pressure in them . same amount of oil theat was in them . thinking i may have to change the spring . hope some body might be able to help me out here. thanks

well thats a little secret i figured out . how to take them apart. i dont have any pics. of it next pair i will do so.. i am able to shorten them upto 2 inches .but not recomennded for passengers. i did mine 1 and a 1/2 inches . max for a pasenger .still plaing with them .

ya anything over an inch and a 1/2 is just a bar hopper. I know being in michigan I would not go that low. roads are terrible here..pot holes and craters every where.

More air might help the ride but probably not the clunk. It may look good but it will never ride good. Air ride is the only way to go. That is the only way you will be happy.

well i thinking i just figure out what my clunking problem was. the cruese modual that bolts to frame under seat. well it broke off at the ears and was getting wedged between frame and swing arm. guess i get rid of the cruese now. did not work any how. no loss
