40 t00th sprocket

Change belt pulley on transmission to a30 tooth, sorry 09 Ultra, if I am not mistaken need to drop 2 teeth on the belt as well as the 2 I lost from the pulley change.
My inquiring mind would like to know, because my belt is not tensioning up. Hence question. Picked up a 137 tooth belt today just want make sure I am going in the right direction. Didn't see in parts book for a 138 tooth. The belt starts as a 140.:confusion:

Pretty sure you meant you changed to a 30 tooth, right? On my '07 I had to run a 1 tooth shorter belt. It was an HD belt they used for the Japan exports. Not sure if 09 is the same.
