26” rake kit

Hey everyone . New member here . After looking at many forums , everyone told me to get the right info it would be here .
2012 road glide ultra . Finally pulled the plug for a new rear end . And going with 26” front wheel. jnR air ride already done

I found 2 companies who offer triple trees for 26” wheel . And obviously HHI . Pickard and American suspension offers bolt on rake kits . I’m not cutting and welding my frame . So out of question .
My question, difference between trees only compared to a bolt on rake kit ? Will the front end sit higher ? Wobbly ? Trail issues ? Triple trees only for 26” are cheaper , than a bolt on rake kit from those 3 companies I mentioned . But price doesn’t justify my safety if there’s gonna be issues down the road . It’s not a parking lot Pinpin bike , I ride . Long trips . Thanks in advance.

I just upgraded to a 26” front wheel on my 2019 Roadglide. Bolt on American Suspension triple trees and neck. The front do sit up a little higher because of the wheel. I went with front and rear air suspension. I can adjust the height of the front. I ride my bike also. I went from stock wheel to 21” to 26” and I love the way the bike rides with the 26” front wheel. The bike handles better then stock. No wobbles. Even with Michigan pot hole roads. Trailered my bike to Jacksonville from Michigan last week. I Rode 300 miles down the coast. Rode thru Daytona for bike week. I had no problems. Looked good while I was riding too. I was told to have bolt on kit double check for tightness once a year just to be safe.

I suggest American Suspension bolt on. I did a 2011 street glide bolt on 26 last year and ride it everywhere. I won't tell you it rides better than stock but it rides real good. I've had it well over 100mph no wobble shake or shimmy. You will not be able to do tight turns or tight curves as good as stock. I use American Suspension air front and rear. Their new rear shocks ride better than any shock I have used air or spring. What rear end did you buy? I have the speed by design Mack Daddy looks good but in my opinion it's a little too long and low for real world riding unless you don't mind dragging them occasionally.

Yeah . I did order American suspension bolt on kit . rear air I did put JNR . No issues so far . Was improvement over stock for sure, but not the best .
rear end I have the red fox baggers 14” out kit . 6.5 down . Same as speed by design I guess ( size wise ) . But front I did progressive two years ago . Maybe I’ll do front air ride as well . My main concern is I know and heard of few guys who did the rake , and 80 mph end up losing control , wobble . One of them bike was totalled . Tight turns I know it won’t be the same as riding with 21” . But I believe I can get use to it . Thanks for the advice .
