I got pulled over by a cop, he was really cool, he just wanted to check my bike out. As he was heading back to his patrol car he said, "By the way, your plates expired in May." So had to get an inspection first before getting the new plates, gotta love TX!
Had a lady pull out in front of me in February, and I t-boned her Escape. The front end was shot, the bars bent, the front wheel basically hit the frame. Luckily I walked away. Now it's time to go 26 since I'm her insurance is footing the bill. I decided on AS bolt on kit, sticking with the same wheel, and doing some of the things I wanted to with the paint. Here are a few pictures of the build, should be rolling this weekend.
I was un-hurt, thanks, it was scary, but glad I was able to walk away. When I saw the bike on the ground, I literally picked it up by the handle bars, and stood it up. Then looked around like, "How did I just do that?!"
Picked the bike up late Friday, too late to make ROT in Austin. Nonetheless, had a fishing tournament this weekend, will get better pictures this week. Overall, ride is good, seems to take rough stuff better than the 23 did, getting used to the Arnott air ride still. The Drago's pipe sounds awesome compared to the old road rage (which is for sale). So far, so good, loving it.
Here are a few more pictures, loving the 26 on this bike. I have to say it handles bumps much better than the 23 did. I have yet to hit the bump stops, and ran over some bumpy roads yesterday. Thus far, I've put about 300 miles on this iteration of the bike, and like it best so far.
